Where are the true champions of feminism?

What are they doing to better our world?

Where are Sandra Fluke, Debbie Wassermann Schultz, Scarlet Johannsen and all those oh-so-genuinely-concerned about the “War on Women”… I suspect we know the real answer. These women are moral cowards; they have no problem speaking out against the imaginary enemies of women’s rights, but when it comes to mobilizing support for their Muslim sisters across the Jihadist world, they could care less. Sandra Fluke spoke at a rally today and only ten people showed up. Well, at least she had a minyan.

And to think some people regard her as a “leader.” Pretty lame, no?

In fact, their apathy concerning the real war on women that is taking place in the fundamentalist parts of the world speaks volumes about their “true values.”

Over the last couple days, we read about a young fourteen year old girl in Pakistan who got shot for having the temerity to write a blog about how young girls and women are brutally oppressed. One would think that American feminists would give a damn. One would think they would mobilize marches across our country and in Europe, where they make their voices heard that Islam needs to respect the rights of women.

Oops, did I say something offensive? Did I dare criticize the “I” word? Yes I did. I criticize sexism wherever it occurs—and among the Ultra-Orthodox in Israel, we too have our problems to deal with.

On the other hand, not even the Ultra-Orthodox would stoop to kind of vitriolic hatred the radical Jihadists are committing on a daily basis in their countries.

For example: One recent story in tonight’s news tells the sordid tale of how radical Islamists in Timbuktu convicted a teenaged girl of speaking to men on the street. She was punished with 60 lashes in public.

We are told, “‘The Islamists charged that the girl was warned five times by Islamist police but she continued to speak to men in the street. After the hearing, the Islamists gave 60 lashes to the girl. The population did not turn out in large numbers to attend this flogging,’ said Ousmane Maiga, a Timbuktu resident contacted by phone from Bamako.” The public lashing occurred at roughly 11 a.m. local time in front of the new headquarters of the Islamic police in downtown Timbuktu, ironically next to “Independence Square.”

The war against women isn’t just in African Islamic countries or Iran.

It is heartbreaking, even as it is unsurprising. In Britain, the authorities are now reporting the forced marriage of girls as young as nine years old on British soil. We are not talking about one case, but several, which take place under official protection. We are not speaking, then, about parents or “husbands” who are being charged with a criminal offense. The situation, in other words, is completely unacceptable and makes clear that we have a crying need for a new approach to these matters.

The British Government must put its foot down – and powerfully so – so that there will be no doubt as to the way in which such grotesque crimes will be addressed.

Following the example of Mohammed and Ayesha (the first nine year old bride in the Qu’ran), today’s fundamentalist Muslims are championing this practice in honor of the Prophet. The marriage of nine-year-old girls in today’s Britain (and the rest of the EU, is occurring with alarming regularity; they’re doing it because the Islamicist men have no problem with pedophilia; and neither do they have a problem child marriage, forced marriage, genital mutilation, so-called honor-related offenses such as rape and murder. In many of these immigrant groups, young girls are locked up and fed like geese before being married, because in their culture being fat is considered beautiful. Sandra Fluke Inc., it’s time you and Mr. Obama show some moral clarity. The President has never condemned the Islamicists for waging a war against women. Instead, he is negotiating with the Taliban to help include them in the future government of Afghanistan. What a brilliant idea! Maybe he can arrange a dinner get-together for Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf, while he’s at it.

Postscript: At a recent political gathering in Nevada, where Fluke went to give a talk-she had less than a minyan of people to listen to her.

Why? Probably because most people know a fake when they see one.
